Dr. Alanna Barron received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and her medical degree from Wayne State School of Medicine. She completed her residency at the University Medical Center in San Diego and joined the practice in 2000.
Born in San Francisco and raised in Birmingham, Michigan, Dr. Barron and her family live in Grand Haven, Michigan. Prior to joining the Cascade Pediatric team, Dr. Barron practiced pediatrics in San Diego and then spent two years in Okinawa, Japan as a civilian pediatrician while her husband was a naval physician.
Dr. Barron loves spending time with her husband, who is an ophthalmologist, and their two daughters. She enjoys traveling, reading, music and concerts, as well as running 5K races and coaching “Girls on The Run.” |

Dr. Aaron VanZee received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and received his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. He completed his residency at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids and joined Cascade Pediatrics practice in 2001.
A native of Rockford and graduate of Rockford High School, Dr. VanZee now lives in Ada with his wife and three sons and their dog, Jack. Dr. VanZee loves spending time with his children, kayaking, gardening and watching college football.

Dr. Lisa Brown received both her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Michigan, and completed her pediatric and chief residencies at Children's Hospital of Oakland, California. She joined Cascade Pediatrics in 1996.
Dr. Lisa Brown grew up in the Grand Rapids area. After living in Northern California for eight years Dr. Brown returned to Western Michigan and now lives in Cascade with her husband and two children. She enjoys spending time with her family, sailing, traveling, reading, and writing. |

Dr. Mark Weirich received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and his medical degree from State University of New York at Buffalo. He completed his residency at DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids.
Dr. Weirich grew up in the Buffalo, NY area and joined the practice in 2003. He currently lives in Rockford with his wife and twin daughters, and enjoys traveling and participating in triathlons.

Dr. Sarah Elmouchi received both her undergraduate degree and her medical degree from the University of Michigan. She completed her pediatric and chief residencies at Moffitt Long Hospital, at the University of California, San Franscisco in 2002.
Dr. Elmouchi lives in Ada with her husband, a cardiologist, and three children, ages eight, six and three. She likes spending time with her family and playing the piano, snow skiing, and running 10K races. She completed the Grand Rapids marathon in 2008.

Dr. Vilnis Meiers received his undergraduate degree from Grand Valley State University and his medical degree at the University of Michigan. He completed his residency at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids and joined the practice in 1986.
Raised in Grand Rapids, Dr. Meiers now lives in Grand Haven with his wife Dorothy of 45 years. They enjoy traveling and spending lots of their free time with their grandchildren. |

Dr. Erika Crane received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and her medical degree from Wayne State University. She completed her pediatrics and chief residencies at Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit in 2007.
Prior to joining Cascade Pediatrics, Dr. Crane was associate program director of the pediatric residency program at Children’s Hospital of Michigan. She also worked for Wayne State's Physicians’ Group as a Pediatric Hospitalist and at the Pediatric Urgent Care Clinic at Children’s Hospital of Michigan. She joined the practice in 2010.
A West Michigan native, Dr. Crane is married and lives in Ada with her husband and two small children. |

Dr. Alan Siegel received his undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary, his medical degree from the University of Virginia and completed his internship, pediatric residency and chief residency at the University of Michigan. Over the years he has worked on an Indian reservation in Montana and at the US Public Health Hospital located in Staton Island, NY. He joined Cascade Pediatrics in 1967 and is one of the longest-practicing pediatrician in West Michigan.
Outside of the office Dr. Siegel enjoys gardening and collecting antiques, as well as artwork and woodworking. He is the father of three children, one of whom followed in his father’s medical footsteps and became an eye surgeon.
